Daniel E. Freedman is a partner in Freedman & Freedman, P.C. and specializes in all aspects of real estate law, including representation of sellers, purchasers, lending institutions, and developers of multi-unit houses and condominiums in residential transactions, as well as representation of sellers and purchasers in all facets of commercial transactions such as purchase and sale agreements, acquisition financing transactions, industrial/economic development projects, and commercial lease agreements in the office, retail, and industrial markets.
Mr. Freedman also practices corporate law and handles business transactions, including the formation of limited liability companies and drafting of operating agreements, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, restrictive covenants and asset purchase and stock transactions. Mr. Freedman has also represented restaurant owners, professional athletes, news anchors, and sports and talent agents.
Mr. Freedman is a member of the New York State Bar Association (including the Real Property Law and Entertainment Arts and Sports Law sections) and the Nassau County Bar Association, as well as a past member of the Chicago Title Insurance Company Advisory Board. Mr. Freedman is a Vice President of the Men's Division of Children's Medical Fund (C.M.F.), a charitable organization which donates every dollar raised to the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York, the only hospital on Long Island solely dedicated to pediatrics. Mr. Freedman is also an officer and director of a publicly held manufacturing company based on Long Island.
Mr. Freedman received his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1993 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1990, where he majored in history, minored in business, and was a member and captain of the Men's Varsity Tennis Team. In 1996, Mr. Freedman received a Certificate in Sports and Event Marketing from the New York University School of Continuing Education.
Mr. Freedman is admitted to practice law in New York, and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York.
Mr. Freedman resides in Melville with his wife Barbra, daughter Jolie, son Matthew, and dog Roxie.
